Are you looking to remove an unwanted tattoo with minimal discomfort and excellent results?

At Pure Aesthetics Clinic in Mandurah, laser tattoo removal starts with your goal, whether that’s fading for a cover-up or working towards removal.
You’ll see me, Kylee. As someone with plenty of tattoos myself, I understand that this decision can be practical, personal or a bit of both. We’ll assess your tattoo, discuss what’s achievable and go through the likely commitment and costs.

How does laser tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal breaks tattoo pigment into smaller particles that your body gradually clears.
The laser delivers very short pulses of energy that are absorbed by the ink. Fading happens over time, including between appointments, as your body processes the fragmented pigment.
Different colours respond to different wavelengths. Ink depth, density, layering and your skin also affect the treatment plan.
We leave time between sessions for healing and clearance. At your consultation, I’ll explain what that process could look like for your tattoo and reassess its response as we go.
Is laser tattoo removal right for you?
It may be an option if you want to fade an existing tattoo or work towards removing it, following an individual assessment.
We can discuss treatment if:
-
You want a tattoo removed. I’ll assess the ink and explain the possibilities and limitations.
-
You’re planning a cover-up. Fading may give your tattooist more flexibility with the new design.
-
You only want part of a tattoo treated. We’ll assess whether the section can be targeted appropriately.
I’ll review the tattoo’s colours, location, age and any existing scarring, alongside your skin and medical history. Some inks are harder to treat, and some can change colour after laser.
Before treatment, the clinic requires written confirmation of a doctor-performed skin check. Bring this to your appointment. Your consultation is where we’ll discuss that requirement, suitability and the next steps.
What can I expect during my tattoo removal appointment?
We’ll check your tattoo and skin, confirm the treatment plan and talk through comfort and aftercare before starting. Your first treatment also requires written confirmation of your doctor-performed skin check.
You’ll wear protective eyewear while I treat the agreed area. The laser can feel like rapid, sharp snaps against your skin. How uncomfortable it feels depends on the tattoo’s location, size and your sensitivity. I’ll check in throughout, and we can pause when needed.
You may notice temporary whitening over the ink during treatment. This is a short-lived skin response, rather than the tattoo disappearing on the spot. Fading happens gradually afterwards.
The area may feel warm or tender and look red or swollen. Blistering or crusting can also occur. Before you leave, I’ll explain how to care for it, what activities to pause and which changes need medical attention.
We’ll plan your next appointment around healing and your tattoo’s response, allowing time for your body to continue clearing the fragmented ink.
